Example of a Word Sort

Description: The video shows a student using word sort to organize various words into CVC (e) and CVVC (ee/ea) patterns. For each word, the student says the word and highlights the vowels to help with sorting. This activity can be done at home with a printer and scissors to create these "matching" pieces.

Example of a Word Hunt
|
Description: This is a video of a modification of a word hunt, using the idea of popcorn to find the words needed. Students are given a list or bingo-type sheet of the words they need to find, and roll the popcorn container around until all the sight words are found.
